Many of the vocal singing time is taken up by thé arias, the gorgeous songs, usually with just a term or two of text message and several minutes of songs. Unlike operas, oratorios are generally about sacred subjects. Like operas, however, they typically tell a tale, frequently from the Aged Testament.
